About our Speakers

Kathleen Burke is a development professional in the New York Arts Sector with over seven years of experience in fundraising, development operations, and special events. She began her career at the Park Avenue Armory where she served as the owner and lead fundraiser for the General Membership

program and Young Patrons group, the Avant-Garde, stewarding over 1,500 constituents annually.  After her tenure at the Armory, Kathleen joined the Development team at Pioneer Works where she oversaw the Membership and Patron Programs, led the discovery phase of the Salesforce NPSP implementation project, assisted with Board Management, and project managed the 2021 Annual Fund Appeal. While at Pioneer Works, Kathleen discovered her knack for developing and maintaining systems, which led her to her role as the Director of Individual Giving and Development Operations at Brooklyn

Academy of Music (BAM). Kathleen manages a team of 7+ individuals and is responsible for directing overall strategy for solicitation campaigns, stewardship, and benefit fulfillment for Patrons and Members while also overseeing fundraising efforts for BAM’s annual appeal. She also heads the development operations which includes gift processing, database management, departmental budgeting, donor recognition, and gift receipts and data analytics. Kathleen received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Disorders from SUNY New Paltz and has since completed courses toward her Fundraising Certification through NYU's School of Professional Studies. She currently volunteers at Women in Development (WID) on the membership committee and a newly appointed Board Member.

Anna Goula is an accomplished nonprofit professional with a diverse background spanning corporate philanthropy, nonprofit operations, and development consulting. Currently serving as an Account Executive at Hudson Ferris, she advises nonprofit organizations on strategic fundraising initiatives and partnership development.

Previously, Anna held leadership roles at TransPerfect, where she directed corporate giving and volunteer programs and managed strategic partnerships with nonprofits. Her career in the nonprofit sector began at United Way Worldwide, where she supported international network operations and developed her skills in cross-sector collaboration.
