Ann Louden serves as a WID Board member and the founder of Ann Louden Strategy and Consulting. In her role as consultant to nonprofits, she does all the ordinary things you’d expect: guiding chief executives and boards through the complexities of effective board governance, teaching staff and volunteers the intricacies of major gift solicitation, and delicately redirecting the occasional combustible donor stewardship plan. Based in New York, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas, Ann wears a watch with two time zones!
As a cancer survivor, an advocate for adoption, and a serial connector, Ann applies her unique brand of creativity to every project she tackles. She has produced and directed seven music videos, talked her way into multiple celebrity collaborations, and never says no to a big idea.
Her recent book “Mom…You Just Need to Get Laid: The Adventures of Dating After Divorce” written under the pen name Kate Somerset. and published by the Brooklyn Writers Press, is an Amazon best seller. Written for anyone who wants to believe anything is possible, the book chronicles Ann’s courageous move from Texas to New York and introduces 15 men she dated in the Big Apple. Ann is also the author of the upcoming book: “Who Do I Meet Next: Leadership Lessons on How to Be an Unforgettable Connector”.
