UJA-Federation of New York is the world's largest local philanthropy raising more than $200 million annually and supporting hundreds of nonprofits in New York and around the world. The basis of UJA’s success is the partnership between professional and lay leadership working to raise and allocate critical funds to nonprofits providing vital services. Join us for an insider’s look at their success story with Courtney Weinstein and Suzanne W. Doft.

Suzanne W. Doft is extremely committed to helping others. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of UJA-Federation and co-chairs the campaign. Previously Suzanne chaired FRD’s Manhattan Division and the Center for Youth Philanthropy and Leadership. She has also served on the 40-Under-40 selection committee. She is a member of UJA’s Community Relations Ad-hoc Committee, and a past recipient of UJA’s Martha K. Selig award for leadership.

Suzanne has worked at Lehman Brothers as a financial analyst and at Pfizer running its U.S. marketing teams for multibillion dollar products in various therapeutic areas. She was the vice president of marketing at dapple, a natural cleaning products company for families with kids. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Business School. Suzanne and her husband Jacob live in Manhattan with their five children.

Courtney Weinstein is Vice President, Affinity Campaign at UJA-Federation of New York where she oversees the various trade and affinity groups that comprise the annual fundraising campaign.  Courtney has been at UJA since graduating in 2008 from New York University with a dual master’s degree in Public Administration and Hebrew and Judaic Studies.  She holds a BA from Colgate University and, prior to graduate school, worked for the Freeman Center for Jewish Life at Duke University, where she met her husband, Mike.  They now live in Park Slope with their 2 daughters, Belle and Alice, and when they aren't in Brooklyn, you can find them upstate enjoying the fresh mountain air.
