Women: Own Your Success!

Thursday, February 27, 2020

6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Temple Emanu-El

1 East 65 Street

New York, NY 10065

As fundraisers, we ask others to help our organizations. As professionals, do we ask for what we need and what we want? This session will inspire and teach you how to create a career that is personally and professionally fulfilling. Whether you’re rising up the ladder or just beginning your professional journey, you will hear advice from experts about how to navigate your success, from receiving appropriate compensation and recognition to managing expectations and advancing yourself as a leader.

This session will be moderated by Robin Merle, CFRE, Vice President and Executive Director of the John Jay College Foundation. Panelists include women at the top of their game who are committed to leadership development: Crystal Chavis, Global Talent Management Lead at DuPont, Executive Coach and Senior Business Consultant; Gayatri Shenai, Partner at McKinsey & Company; and Deb Taft, CEO of Lindauer Global.

A few takeaways you can expect:

  • - How to think big, ask big up front for what you want, and help other women do the same.
  • - How you can overcome obstacles to define success on your own terms.
  • - How to support women of color in organizations that are just beginning to be inclusive.
  • - How to advance your career through mentorships and sponsorships.

Members - $50

Non-Members - $65
