WID Wellness Presents
Take Care of Yourself: Achieving Balance for the Development Professional

Tuesday, November 19th
6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

CCS Fundraising
527 Madison Avenue, 5th Floor
New York, NY 10022

As women in development and related fields, this can be an especially busy time of year; annual appeals and donor events are coupled with the growing demands of personal and family life. As a result, you may experience fatigue, stress, insomnia and other conditions.

This workshop will equip you with tools and strategies to let go of the habits that no longer serve you and cultivate new ones, ultimately empowering you to live and work with more confidence, energy, calm and joy! The session is brought to you by noted wellness coach, Dr. Aarti Mallya, with a special session on Workplace Pilates, by Regina Mignona. The Pilates postures and breathing exercises were created exclusively for WID and are specially designed to allow you to take private moments of relaxation before presentations, conversations, meetings and events. Many of them are made to go unnoticed by co-workers, even in a shared workspace! We'll transform a boardroom space into an urban oasis, complete with aromatherapy elements, healthy (but delicious) refreshments and a free gift for each participant.

Pilates does not require any special clothing, equipment or materials; postures made for standard office attire in the work place.

Regina Mignogna

In her Pilates practice, certified instructor Regina Mignogna encourages clients to be mindful of posture and alignment as they move through their lives outside the studio. Inside the studio, her clients work on strengthening and stretching while building body awareness. Regina, who received her certification through Power Pilates in NYC, has practiced Pilates herself for 17 years and been an instructor for six. She’s impressed with the benefits of Pilates for people of all ages. She teaches weekly classes to seniors, as well as her regular classes for groups and individuals. Clients regularly comment that Pilates makes them feel calmer, stronger, taller and more flexible. Regina will share these same strategies with WID in November.
