We are all thinking about how fundraising can continue during this challenging time. Boards are uncertain about what to do and it can be difficult to build consensus around development strategies. Though every board and organization is unique, this webinar will offer ideas and practices to help you work with your board during the COVID-19 crisis. It will offer a timely look at the Marts & Lundy Board Giving Survey. Learn about the most recent findings as boards address unprecedented challenges.

Nancy L. Raybin, Senior Consultant and Principal, Marts & Lundy

Nancy is a nationally known leader in the world of philanthropy. The former managing partner of Raybin Associates, Nancy brings to her client work a background in strategic planning and business consulting with McKinsey & Company, experience in organizing and running nonprofit health clinics in Appalachia, and a particular interest in solving big, complex problems for nonprofit institutions.

Nancy is a skilled facilitator and is much in demand by organizations seeking to build consensus and agreement on the action steps for change and growth. Nancy has worked with a wide range of nonprofits in various sectors, including environment, arts & culture, education, religion, and human services. Her skills in campaign planning, strategic planning, governance, management and organizational issues, and all areas of fundraising have helped hundreds of clients.

Nancy is a Past Chair of The Giving Institute. She has previously chaired the Giving USA Foundation which publishes Giving USA, the oldest and most comprehensive annual report on philanthropy. Nancy is also a frequent speaker at Fundraising Day in New York, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Women In Development (WID), New York, and CASE. Sarah W. Williams, Senior Consultant and Principal, Marts & Lundy

Sarah joined Marts & Lundy in 2002 as an analyst in our Analytical Solutions Group. She is the team leader for Analytical Solutions and works with consultants and clients on data mining and analysis projects, Online Constituent Surveys, and custom benchmarking projects of all sizes. Sarah’s extensive experience in research, analysis, and nonprofit program development and management puts her in the perfect position to work with our clients and her colleagues in continuously refining our philanthropic analysis reports and developing new data mining tools.

Sarah was a member of the Marts & Lundy Board of Directors from 2009-2012 and has been a member of the firm’s Leadership Team since January 2013. She also serves on the board of Giving USA Foundation and, in addition to her work with Marts & Lundy clients, she is a Fundraising Operations Task Force Member and Adjunct Instructor at Rice University’s Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership.

Her previous experience includes work as a strategic communications and research consultant with Shipley & Associates, Inc. and as a special projects consultant with the Livestrong Foundation.
